Researchers invent the new laser microscope that could be ‘’revolutionary for treatment of diseases such as skin cancer”.
British Columbia University researchers have developed a specialized scientific instrument that has a potential ability to 2 diagnose sickness that involves skin cancer and performs implausibly precise surgery. All while not cutting the swing.
The investigator describes the technology in “SCIENCE ADVANCES.”
“Our technology allows us to scan tissue very quickly, and when we look the suspicious or abnormal cell structure, we are able to perform an action on radical Precise surgery and selectively treat the unwanted or diseased structure at intervals the problem – without cutting into the skin”-said Yimei Huang. Co-lead author of the study and former postdoctoral fellow at the department of dermatology and skin science at UBC and BC Cancer.

The device is a crucial role and specialized variety of multi-photon excitation microscope that allows imaging of living tissue up to one millimeter in the depth, using an ultrafast infrared laser beam. What researchers concerning microscope with the exception of previous technology are that its capable of not only digitally scanning living tissue by intensifying the heat produced by the laser.
When applied to treat diseases of the skin, the microscope allows medical professionals to pinpoint the exact location of abnormally, diagnose it and treat it instantly.
