Fitbit Luxe Smartwatch Review – How Fitbit Luxe Sorts Against Other Wearables
The Fitbit Luxe aims to be the next generation of Fitbit watches. A lot has been said about the Fitbit Force and how it is far superior to the Fitbit Allegiance, however, the Fitbit Luxe comes equipped with some nice features of its own. The Fitbit Luxe comes with an updated platform that promises better accuracy than the older Fitbit range and is surprisingly accurate as well. However, what does it have to offer that makes it stand out from the rest?
As it is, the Fitbit Luxe may have some advantages over other Fitbit fitness trackers in terms of price. For example, Fitbit Luxe has more customizable aspects compared to other models. It also comes with a neat and stylish rectangular shape, which doesn’t clash with any Fitbit watch. The main drawback however is that it does not have as many features as its rivals, for example, it doesn’t have a heart rate monitor and does not offer night time sleep tracking. But then again, these are some of the benefits that can come with any fitness tracker.
It is a bit steeply priced at about $300, making it a bit above the Fitbit Can’t, but Fitbit Luxe does have some features that you would find on its competitors. For example, the Fitbit Luxe comes with a smartwatch – a really useful feature, especially if you have multiple devices. The smartwatch tells you your heart rate in percentage, calories burnt and so on. There are other features like the Fitbit Alarm, Fitbit Wake Up Call and a few others that can be useful. Overall, the smartwatch is quite useful, and we believe that most people would find it more useful than other fitness trackers.
Another feature that the Fitbit Luxe lacks compared to some of its competitors is its ability to be connected to an actual GPS unit. The line comes equipped with a Google Maps application that allows you to track your progress. While the luxe isn’t as advanced as the Fitbit Map, it does allow you to track your fitness progress in a more hands-free way. We can only hope that the company will come up with something more exciting for their smartwatches in the future.
The Luxe does have its drawbacks though. While it is very stylish, we feel that its light weight could be an issue when you are walking and exercising outdoors. Also, the fact that this is only a fitness tracker and not a full-on watch makes it less accurate than some other monitors. Also, the interface may not be as advanced as we would like.
If you are looking for a watch that is more like a phone than a fitness tracker, then you will definitely want to check out the Fitbit Luxe. Despite the lacking features, the line does work as well as some other high end watches on the market. If you are looking for a stylish, lightweight fitness tracking device, then the Fitbit Luxe could be a nice choice.
Fitbit has been around for quite some time now and it’s still growing at a rapid rate. Their success is owed mainly to the fact that their devices are simple to use and understand. Many people have found it easy to get their own Fitbit tracker because it’s a small size and extremely reliable. Even the Luxe has a small size and is fairly easy to wear. It’s also lightweight, so it’s no wonder that the Fitbits Luxe has become such a favorite with consumers.
The Luxe also lacks many of the fancy features that other Fitbit devices have. It’s just another simple fitness tool that will help you keep track of your progress. It can be worn under any clothing and can easily be clipped to a pocket or purse strap. Like most Fitbit products, it’s easy to navigate and offers the option of having a speech-to-phrase voice assistant. You can also get a calendar, fitness address book and heart rate monitor integrated into the device. All in all, the Fitbit Luxe might not have everything that other smartwatches have, but it’s a nice addition to the Fitbit family.
