Garmin Venu and Swim Smart Watch
Garmin Venu Fitness Watch features are pretty impressive and in some ways surpass the competition. At first glance, they appear similar to other big watches on the market today. The main thing that sets these watches apart is their size, shape and the fact that they are water resistant up to 99%. They also make some innovative new features as well.
Most of the Garmin Venu fitness watch features are in the watch model but there are a few that are unique to this series. The Garmin Venu series 5 watch has many useful features that you might find useful or that you might not. In this article we review some of the features of the Garmin venu series 5. Here’s what we discovered.
The Garmin Venu fitness watch features are great. They have GPS Smartwatch features, built in pedometer, heart rate monitor, workout display and the ability to do workouts from your phone. The Garmin venu fitness watch features can be accessed from your wrist while it is fully wireless. The touch screen ensures a nice bright and high definition clarity and an excellent accuracy rate. This display is protected by Corning Gorilla glass 3 which provides it some protection against scratches, but it’s not a sapphire crystal screen either.
You can watch live TV from your Garmin smartwatch as long as it has the Garmin Live Map feature. The Garmin venu has a standard heart rate monitor that is great for people who workout regularly. It has a built in calorie counter too and has a long battery life of ten days. You can even connect with your Garmin Connect IQ. Connect IQ is a system that allows you to connect to the Garmin Venu watch and make and receive Garmin Connect IQ data, workouts, fitness details and other information wirelessly via Bluetooth.
Another Garmin smartwatch feature which is great is the body temperature sensor which is very accurate and uses the Acura Sensor Technology. This is one of the latest sensors, which can detect irregular heart rhythms and provide you with maximum performance feedback. It also has a high intensity record mode which has the ability to analyze high intensity exercise routines.
The tracking features include distance, speed, distance traveled, calories burned and time. The Garmin Connect feature also allows you to receive push notification and fitness status updates right to your Garmin Connect IQ-enabled wrist. This is done through an email or text message. The Garmin Connect IQ was developed to work seamlessly with the Garmin venu smartwatch. Other features include an accurate timer, lap counter, distance measurement, heart rate monitor and water resistance for your swimming activities.
The Garmin Connect IQ does have some limitations when it comes to swimming though. This is because the GPS is not always accurate and the accuracy depends on your location. This means that if you want to track your laps you need to use the foot pedal when you are in the pool and not the console where you can keep track of your pace. The only other thing this smart watch has that is very useful is the heart rate monitor. This is because the Garmin Connect IQ can integrate with other health-related devices such as the TomTom Mobile 3rd edition.
The Garmin Connect IQ has two modes namely, the Physical Activity Monitor or PAPM and the Body Energy Monitors mode. The physical activity monitor mode will monitor your heart rate while you are resting. You can also view your heart rate while you are running and also while you are swimming. The Body Energy Monitor mode will monitor your energy levels and provide a summary of your progress for that day. As far as the Garmin Venu is concerned, the only way you can track your lap times is by connecting your watch with an external monitor that has a probe into your body.
