Garmin Venu Features Review
Garmin Venu is known for making quality timepieces, and with the advent of its new line of watches, Garmin has upped the ante to a whole new level. Instead of just being an efficient timekeeper, this brand now offers users the opportunity to do more than just keep time. With an array of technologically advanced features, Garmin has taken its place among the top-notch watch makers in the industry. In fact, Garmin watches are some of the most well-designed, technologically advanced timepieces available today. As a result, the brand is seeing increased interest from consumers.
Instead of reviewing all the features of Garmin Venu timepieces, we thought it might be fun to take a look at the Garmin Venu Smartwatch as a possible alternative or complement to the more expensive Garmin Venu watches. Instead, it’s simply taking the majority of the features of Garmin Venu and placing them in a smarter, more affordable watch. Simple, yet so powerful. Today, when you need to compare the Garmin Venu & Venui, check out this video comparison:
Garmin has designed two timepiece models to compete with the Garmin Venu smartwatch from Phillips. The first model is a little bulkier and features a more modern, sculptured look that is more in line with what a watch designer might come up with. However, it still includes all of the same features as the more upscale Garmin Venu. It also includes a chest strap that will not fall off and includes a water-resistant up to 200 meters depth rating. Finally, it is equipped with a solid, comfortable leather-like band.
The Garmin Vado smartwatch is smaller, just like the Garmin Venu, but it does include some unique features. Unlike the Garmin Venu, this watch is water and shock resistant up to thirty minutes for showers and up to five minutes submerged in water. Additionally, it is water resistant up to thirty seconds underwater, so it is ready to dive right into any situation. Additionally, the Garmin Vado comes with a chest strap that will not fall off, is water resistant to thirty minutes for showers, and is shock resistant up to five minutes submerged in water.
As one might expect, both watches are pretty stylish. However, the Garmin Vado’s stylish design is what sets it apart from the Garmin smartwatch. The Garmin watches look more “normal” and the Vado’s more futuristic. Which one you choose will depend on personal preference, but either way, these watches are both excellent choices!
One of Garmin’s most innovative and helpful feature – GPS tracking. All of their watches offer this feature. However, the Vado smartwatch adds an extra, useful feature to it. When turned on and paired with a compatible Garmin handheld GPS, the Garmin Vado can track your speed, distance, time, as well as a range of other information – including calories burned and laps. Some models also offer heart rate monitors.
One of Garmin’s more recent creations is its virtual dashboard feature – which is basically a customizable, on-screen map of your body. While it is unclear exactly how useful this feature is – I have used it to get directions to my hotel, find the nearest restaurant, figure out my route to work, etc – it does come in handy quite a bit. If you are running low on energy during a run, or if you are just looking to go somewhere – this virtual dashboard can help you find it. I think overall the Garmin Vado is a great fitness watch. However, the Garmin Venu gives it a little something extra.
So, in summary, the Garmin Vado is a nice little fitness watch that most people will probably find useful. The GPS feature is great for runners or for anyone who wants to know their exact location. Other than that, the watch just does what you expect it to do. And that is to keep track of your workouts and provide you with accurate information about your heart rate. If that isn’t enough, consider the fact that the Garmin Venu watch has a huge price tag as well!
