Google Family Link Parental Control Software
Google Family Link is an internet security application that runs on a Google browser. The Family Safe Solutions software has many features that allow you to create and manage your own network of email contacts. By setting up user names for your contacts and setting up permission levels for their chat rooms, you can limit who can contact you and who can actually talk to you on the phone. Google also offers many other features that make using this parental control software a great choice for both parents and children. This review will take a look at the Google parental control software features that impressed me the most.
First and foremost, Google Search offers you search results based on location, searches, and searches within certain categories. When I installed the program, I set it up so that when someone searched for something in my specific niche (pet grooming), Google would send me a list of search results related to that phrase. For example, if someone was searching for German Shepherd puppies, Google would bring up a list of websites related to German Shepherd puppies, German Shepherd dog breeders, and German Shepherd information. It was very easy to use and gave immediate results.
The next feature I really like is the integration of Google+ social media sharing. Now when I add friends through Google+ they are also added to the search results, which means when my friends search for something I already know about! It’s incredibly convenient. The Google+ social sharing part of the program also lets me check my own social updates, too. No more digging through my address book to find old emails and posts. Just go to Google+ and everything you’ve got posted will be right there at my fingertips.
The next feature I love is the integration of Google Suggest. Now when I’m searching for something on Google or any other search engine, Google will suggest relevant websites based on my search criteria. For example, if I’m looking for a website about German Shepherd puppies, Google suggests would show German Shepherd puppy websites in its results. Great for finding German Shepherd information.
And last but not least, I love that this software keeps track of my children and track my kids. Google Family Link keeps track of my kids’ activity both online and offline. I can see what websites my kids are visiting, what they are searching for, and how long they’ve been online. This way, I can monitor what my kids are doing online and help them with any issues that arise.
Overall, this is a great product. Google has really pulled out all the stops. The software is very easy to use and the free trials are only a couple of minutes long. I especially like the ease of having Google Suggest pop-up suggestions as I’m typing in a search term. This is definitely one of the best parts of this software.
As I mentioned earlier, this software is great if you have multiple computers and lots of family members. It doesn’t matter how many children there are in the house because this software will be able to handle it all. All you need to do is install the software and set up passwords for each computer. Also, setting up passwords is a lot easier than it used to be.
As I said, Google Family Link is an outstanding tool for controlling the Internet in the home. I use it every day to make sure that everything that my kids search for on Google, Yahoo, and Bing is only available to them via this one application. With the free one-time download, I am able to keep an eye on what my kids are searching for online. I also love the fact that the software searches through every major search engine on the Internet. I don’t even need to open up a new window when I use Google Search all the time because it opens up automatically when I am done typing in the search term that I want to look up.
