HP 930 Creator Wireless Mouse Review
The HP 930 Creator Wireless Mouse isn’t the most powerful wireless peripheral you can buy but it is the closest thing to a true competitor to Logitech’s own wireless mouse. In some regards it is meant to be like a cross between an electric and a laser pointer. On paper at least, its specifications match up with those of the Logitech mouse.
The HP 930 Wireless Mouse features a high-resolution LED display that supports multi-point input. It also has two DPI settings, which correspond to the number of horizontal and vertical mouse buttons. On the screen there are also a few dedicated functions within the scroll wheel that allows you to control how your mouse movement happens. One feature that is especially nice is the presence of a “floating trackball,” which makes it easy to navigate through web pages.
Most modern wireless mice use a combination of Bluetooth and USB technology to allow for complete connectivity. Bluetooth wireless mice connect wirelessly to either another computer or a mobile device, using short-range radio signals. They are quite a bit faster and are far more efficient than their older, wired USB predecessors. In many ways though, they lack on-screen buttons and are lacking in certain aspects, such as the swivel capability.
A few advantages to the HP 930 Wireless Mouse include the fact that it can be used wirelessly with any of the numerous brands of Bluetooth wireless mice. It is also compatible with most USB devices. This is in contrast to many other brands that only support a select few USB devices. Some of these include Logitech’s own devices, which only support certain brands of Bluetooth wireless mice.
The second advantage to the nine-year old wireless mouse is its extended battery life. With over five hours of battery life, users are sure to have plenty of time on the go without concern for whether they’ll have enough power to get through a whole working day. Extended battery life also ensures that people will not need to replace their wireless mouse more frequently, and this is very important when considering how often computers and laptops need to be replaced. Some older models may not have all of the standard features and buttons that come with the latest Bluetooth devices, but they are still a reliable option.
The third advantage to the nine-year old wireless mouse is that it takes just twelve weeks for a new replacement to be made. This is much faster than the average fifteen to eighteen months it can take for most other brand models. Additionally, in terms of durability, users are sure to find that the HP 930 Creators is much tougher than their older counterparts. This is likely to be due to the fact that HP has spent quite a bit of time improving their mice for durability, and they know exactly what their customers expect from them.
Perhaps the best thing about the wireless mouse is the simple fact that it can be used with any computer with a USB port. This means that if a person already owns a computer with a usb port, they will be able to continue using their mouse from anywhere they like, which will help to extend their range of mobility. Also, they can use their USB mouse in conjunction with a computer or laptop that does not have a USB port. This is helpful in that if, for example, a laptop is being used with an air mouse, then the wireless mouse will work even better since the extra range offered by the laptop will ensure that the user will have a comfortable and stable mouse surface.
While these advantages certainly help to make the HP 930 Wireless Mouse an excellent choice for many consumers, they are also important features for a mouse that is intended for gaming. The fact is that mice for gaming do tend to have a much more responsive feel to them, and it can be difficult to tell whether a mouse is made for gaming or just for typing. In order to help people decide if they want to purchase a mouse that works well when used for both tasks, the wheel feature is provided. The wheel works in a way that it rotates around a set axis, which allows the user to move their mouse in a circular motion. This feature helps to make it very easy for anyone who plays video games to determine which axis of the mouse wheel they are moving their mouse over and whether or not the mouse feels responsive.
