iPad Pro 12.9 2021 Review – How Does It Compete With Its Previous Version?
After spending a large amount of money on the iPad Pro 12.9, I was dismayed to find out it doesn’t have the same basic functionality of previous versions. In particular, I am disappointed with the trackball support and the lack of navigational buttons, but after doing some research I discovered there are several tweaks that will make it worth your while. For example, you can upgrade from an SD card to a USB device that will allow you to use the iPad Pro as a file server and also as a PDA. This article describes what changes I made to take advantage of these upgrades and how they improved my use of the tablet.
The first major change I made to improve my use of the iPad Pro was to replace the traditional keyboard with the touch sensitive iPad pen. This allowed me to not press the keys by accident which would often lead to inaccurate keystrokes. After setting up my iPad Pro 12.9-inch to use with the pen, I found that I no longer missed many key actions due to my fingers having no pressure to act upon them. Instead, I could now press on the right edge of the pen to scroll up and down the screen which was much easier on my fingers.
My next improvement to the iPad Pro 12.9 2021 was to buy a new battery pack for the iPad Pro. Battery life was poor, so I decided to invest in a higher spec battery. This enabled me to have more energy to complete my day with the iPad and to leave the table charged while I’m watching TV or playing my favourite computer game. The extra battery gave me twice the amount of working time before the battery died out which was great.
One of the best uses for the iPad Pro 12.9 2021 came when I needed to jot down notes or draw something on the screen. To help me do this, I loaded my laptop with the official Microsoft Surface Pencil and used it to write notes or draw on my iPad. The accuracy of the iPad pencil made it easy to input data into the tablet and it made it extremely easy to get useful data out of the device thanks to the wide, touch sensitive screen.
Although the screen and the pen are the iPad Pro’s weak spots, they are also the things you should most look out for when buying an iPad Pro. The problem with the screen is that it is small, meaning that you will want to be careful as you lay your iPad Pro against your face. If it is too close to your face, then the Pro’s built in screen protector will do absolutely nothing to protect it. The solution to this is to buy an iPad Pro 12.9-inch case that allows you to protect both the tablet and the screen. The cases were a real money saver, especially when I had to return the Pro to Apple after only a few days.
My final iPad Pro review point is about the battery life of the device. Although the manufacturer advertises up to ten hours of battery life, I managed to get close to seven and a half hours using a single charge. You obviously need to spend a lot of time using the iPad, so if you’re planning on using it to just browse the web and write down notes, then the extra battery life isn’t really going to be worth the expense.
However, if you are someone who likes to use their iPad for much more than browsing the web and sending emails, then you will find that the iPad Pro 12.9-inch version is ideal for doing tasks such as editing video and photos, sending messages to friends, keeping track of appointments, reading books and magazines, listening to music and lots more. In fact, many people are purchasing the iPad Pro because they want to do everything that their previous ipad has done. So it goes without saying that you will not be disappointed with your purchase of the new iPad Pro as it offers everything that the previous version did plus even more.
The one thing that the iPad Pro 12.9-inch version does not have is the Trackpad support, but this is actually something that the manufacturer Apple understood from the start of the product. The reason why the trackpad was not included in the earlier ipad models was due to Apple’s assumption of how much space the trackpad would take up on the tiny screen of the tablet computer. However, it seems that Apple underestimated the amount of users that would buy the device with the trackpad included, as sales of the iPad Pro continue to soar. If you are looking for a way to make the most out of your new tablet, then the iPad Pro is definitely the way to go.
