Jaybird Vista 2 Wireless Earbuds Review
Jaybird Vista 2 earbuds are a huge upgrade over the original 1st generation VGA earbuds. They offer a much deeper and fuller range of frequencies for your music listening experience. Plus, the new rechargeable charging case now can survive light drips of water without getting damaged. On top of all that, Vista 2 now have a much better sound quality, supports near-by wireless charging, active noise cancelling, ambient mode, and has a better out-of-box sound comparison.
Like most rechargeable batteries these days, Jaybird’s new Vista batteries have about twice the life of their predecessors. This is a major advancement that will allow you to listen to your favorite songs for hours on a single charge, even with continuous usage. The battery life can last up to an hour. A typical battery in your cell phone probably won’t be able to go that long. You can really get a lot of battery life from your Jaybird Vista 2 earbud wireless charging system.
The earbud style of this rechargeable battery just doesn’t quite fit into my casual style. It hangs down way too low on my ear, and I can’t get it to stay in place when it is on. The earbud style also rides up on my forehead, and I can’t easily push it back in. When I am out at work or out in public, these types of earbuds are not very comfortable. Even with the secure fit earbuds, I am constantly pulling them out to adjust them.
As a whole, the Jaybird Vista 2 is great. It is water resistant, has a secure fit, good sound quality (I personally prefer music), and has a lot of battery life. It does not have the same level of bass as the original ear buds, but it does feel good and balanced in my ears. I can tell that the buds are well made and come with a cable that isn’t too long. The cable could probably be a little longer and wrapped around the entire neck.
The charging case for the Jaybird Vista 2 is pretty solid as well. It takes a while to warm up, but it is extremely easy to use. My only issue was that the original ear buds could loosen over time. Other than that, this case works great. It allows me to put the battery in and out with ease, and I can have plenty of battery life. Sometimes I go over my original battery but after charging the Jaybird Vista 2 in the microwave for about 10 minutes, I have plenty of power left.
If you are looking for something lightweight, then the Jaybird Vista 2 is not for you. It weighs 5 ounces, so it is heavy, but not in a way that makes using it awkward or difficult. With a full silicone case, the Jaybird is not only compact and light, but it also stays put and doesn’t move around. This is perfect for someone who likes a phone with an active noise cancelling feature, or who works at a job that requires working with their hands. If you are someone who gets stopped up every few seconds because of random wind noises, you will appreciate the passive noise cancelling capabilities of the vista 2.
My favorite thing about the vista 2 is the incredible amount of versatility that the buds have. The fact that they are rechargeable means that I can easily take them on vacation, or to a coffee shop, and quickly charge them up so I can use them during my waking hours without worrying about they being dead. When you purchase these buds, they come with three buttons, a start/stop button, and an EQ button. This is great because I can instantly change the level of the sound through these buttons. This feature is great for exercising at the gym, or doing other activities that require you to be in a quiet environment.
The wireless earphones that come with the Jaybird Vista 2 are also impressive. They are extremely comfortable, and work very well. While they don’t have true wireless capabilities, what they lack in antenna capacity they make up for with supreme comfort and ease of use. The buds are also very sturdy and durable. I would definitely recommend the Jaybird vista 2 wireless headphones to anyone looking for a solid set of wireless headphones.
