Product Comparison If price is important to you then this review will help you decide if this is the best deal for you, or if there is another Keyboard that is a better choice. It is important that you do not sacrifice quality for price; these days the prices are getting cheaper all the time. There are a lot of models to choose from such as the Logitech Croteam Twilight, the Razer Deathadder, the Steelseries SX Mini Pro, the Gigasix Savage II and the Roccat Pyro RGB Gaming Keyboard. I’ve tried them all and here are my thoughts on each of them: Logitech Croteam Twilight – This is a great mouse pad, and I think the quality of this particular model is outstanding. However, the price is quite high and I would advise other laptop gamers to stay away from this one unless they absolutely need a top-of-the-line multimedia device.
Razer Deathadder – This is my personal favorite gaming device. I like the weight, the sensitivity, the sound quality, the overall design and functionality. For some reason when I use this keyboard with my laptop it makes everything so much more enjoyable. The only thing that could be slightly better is if the keys had a backlight. Otherwise this is an excellent keyboard for a gaming laptop.
Gigasix Savage II – My main issue with this keyboard is the general lack of quality in it. The buttons are very stiff and there are times where I find myself pressed accidentally halfway into a typing session. I don’t really recommend this keyboard to beginners, it’s not very comfortable and it’s just not very practical. If you are one of those people who are used to using heavy-duty gaming mice then I might suggest getting the Gigasix Savage II instead.
Roccat Pyramide – This is probably my favorite laptop keyboard. The buttons respond extremely well to my touch and the layout of the keys is very easy to use. The only thing I would like to mention about the Roccat Pyramide is that the underside of the keys get hot when I’m typing and this can be bothersome at times. Other than that this is a fantastic keyboard for a gaming laptop.
Cool Tactile keyboard – The last laptop keyboard I will mention in my review is the Cool Tactile Steelseries keyboards. These are made by Cool Machines, a company that is fairly well known around the desktop computer world. The main problem with this keyboard though is that it can be a bit on the loud side. The downside is that it also vibrates when you press the keys which can be pretty annoying. Compared to the other models of laptops though this is pretty minor. If you’re not too bothered about this, you might consider getting the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen2.
It seems that these laptops from Lenovo are generally pretty high quality. While I haven’t got to try them out myself I hear great things about them online and in review magazines. The laptop has all the standard features you would expect such as a large display, nice touchpad and a decent speakers. I would definitely recommend getting one of these models if you were considering buying a laptop.
It just seems that so many people out there want the fastest and most portable keyboard available. It doesn’t necessarily mean the best but it sure is close. If you really need the fastest laptop out there then I would definitely recommend this one. It is lightweight, it is very easy to use and the sound quality is very good. The only real downside to it would be its price. It costs more than many other ultraportable laptops in the market today.
