Cleaning Carpets With the Vax Platinum Smartwash Carpet Cleaner
Vax Platinum Smartwash Carpet Cleaner – is it any good? The Vax Platinum Smartwash Carpet Cleaner boasts many excellent features, including a high rate of suction power, a wet/dry cycle that keep your carpets free and dry throughout cleaning, and an ionic dry cleaner that kill all types of germs and allergens. The Vax Platinum Smartwash Carpet Cleaner boasts to be the world’s strongest carpet cleaner to date, with Vax claiming that it’s able to kill more than 99% of existing bacteria trapped inside carpet fibres and outperforms the UK’s leading professional carpet cleaners in both removing stains and vacuum cleaning. Although Vax Platinum Smartwash Carpet Cleaner claims to clean better than the competition, this was my own test so I thought I’d give it a go and find out. Prior to my use, I did a comprehensive search for carpet cleaning products online to see which one came out on top; my aim being to identify the most complete cleaning system available. Based on my search results, and after a couple of weeks using the Vax Platinum Smartwash, I would have to conclude that the product does indeed live up to its claims.
To prove my point, I loaded up my trusty Vax Platinum Smartwash Carpet Cleaner and set about trying it out on the carpet. I started by setting the machine to dry; this stopped any water from getting behind the sofa as if it had been a liquid. Then I proceeded to spray the cleaner onto the fibres using the supplied hose. This resulted in a fairly even coating being removed from the carpet, although some spots were left which could be picked up with a Q tip.
I then moved on to treat the remaining stain; although it was a light stain I didn’t want to risk the Vax Platinum Smartwash Carpet Cleaner damaging the carpet washer. To remove the stain I used the supplied Vax Platinum Smartwash pad, once this was saturated I turned on the machine and performed the same routine as I used on the previous stains. The same result occurred which confirmed my hunch that the Vax Platinum Smartwash was not only able to remove the stain but also prevented future stains from setting in. To finish up I used my trusty upright vacuum cleaner and completed the vacuuming process with great ease. Again, the Vax Platinum Smartwash performed admirably, in fact it was even easier than the first cleaning procedure; all I needed to do was stand back and admire the work that had been done!
Although the Vax Platinum Smartwash Carpet Cleaner worked extremely well, there were still a few areas where it could have been more effective. For example, it seems that this model does not cleanse the carpet to the point of being a one-way water filter. This means that any liquids, whether they be coffee or pet urine, are quickly absorbed into the carpet, leaving behind a stain. To rectify this I simply washed the carpet in a wet vac using a mild carpet shampoo, to ensure the liquids were removed, and then rinsed it again using a dry vacuum cleaner. This technique obviously requires some patience, but should not be too difficult to carry out.
When using the Vax Platinum Smartwash Carpet Cleaner, it is important that you use the correct amount of liquid to clean your carpets. If you follow the manufacturers recommended usage instructions then this will ensure your carpets are thoroughly cleansed to an excellent standard. However, if you follow the instructions to the letter then this could cause some damage. Please spend responsibility on finding out what liquid is recommended to use with this Vax Platinum Smartwash.
If you use the Vax Platinum Smartwash Carpet Cleaner on carpets that have a lot of embedded dirt then it could take longer to remove all the embedded dirt than using a regular vacuum cleaner. Carpets that are heavily stained will take longer to remove than those that are not so heavily stained. Make sure that you use the correct quantity of liquid to remove the dirt from your carpets.
Some of the best cleaning power can be achieved by using a Vax Platinum Smartwash Carpet Cleaner, but it is important to understand that you need to work the solution into the embedded dirt. Before you begin, you should lay the cleaned carpet face down on a flat, hard surface and make sure that there is no water leaking from the vacuum cleaner. You should also remember to turn on the extension brush to loosen up any stuck dirt and to check the overall condition of the carpet. You should take note that the Vax Platinum Smartwash Carpet may take several hours to dry depending on how dirty the carpet has become.
With the Vax Platinum Smartwash Carpet you should ensure that you use the downspout, the brush roll cleaning heads and the LED lights for the final stage of cleaning. The downspout should be slightly wider than the width of the nozzle to prevent it from brushing away the residue that is collected in the brush roll. The LED lights are used as an indicator to let you know when the cleaning is complete. You should leave the cleaner on for at least five minutes so that all the accumulated dirt and debris has been filtered away from the carpet.
